Run Run... Run!

I dont think I would want to run in this weather :s

Slam the door shut. Shoes off. Socks off. One mile in just under seven minutes. A new record! This is running we are discussing here if you were thinking "what on /earth is she on about?"
Now as I am fairly new to the blogisphere, (I am also not so good on terminology- please tell me if I am wrong!) so very little about me is known but I am going to tell you something... I love running! Some of you (like many of my friends, unfortunately for me.) are probably thinking at this point "well she is a right plonker"... but that is fine! I was exactly like you this time six months ago, but then it hit like a ball hits a bat, I want to start something sporty. You may or may not experience this in your life at some point, but for me it was February, when for some reason I was eating chocolate on my own and it was a lovely day. I decided to get on my running shoes and give it a go. Now don't get me wrong, I was in no way what so ever a running superstar and I am still not today because my back ached, my calfes were ready to give up on me and my throat was as dry as a desert. Although this probably sounds as though I have spent to weeks in a survival camp, one thing overwhelmed all the pain; the great positive feeling. This is because of the endorphins that are released when you run (according to a friend of mine... er Steve) and also the fact that running gives you time to really think about things. MADE UP FACT TIME: over 70% of people say they are never angry after a run. Yes this fact may not be true but is not far off the mark as far as a prediction goes. Running is very important to me as I am always saying that I want to this sport and that sport but one thing I do know, is that I do this sport and no one can take it away from me.
If you are utterly inspired by my conquering of running, you must try it but you need to take some things into consideration:
- Your Medical Record, you need to make sure you have no serious heart problems or serious tissue or ligament damage.
- If you are asthmatic,  make sure you have your inhaler (I suggest getting a bum bag/fanny pack to keep it in, don't worry if you think they are man's worst creation, there are countless ways to customise it- hey maybe I will show you how some day!)
- Your mental capabilities, this is very important because like I said earlier about the fact you think a lot during running, you don't want to think too hard!
- Your gear (that's fitness gear), this is important because if you are running in gym trainers or squash/tennis trainers you are not getting the right support for feet, so you are at a high risk of injury. Other than that, you can run in virtually anything (apart from just your undies.) but if you want to be all flash then I suggest brands such as Karrimor, Nike and Adidas and retailers such as Sports Direct, Pro Direct Running or Decathlon.
- Finally your breathing techniques, this sort of links in with my first point but I suggest that you use the 'in through your nose and out through your mouth'. I use this and it helps you to not only last longer if you are on a long distance run, it also helps you to concentrate on something.

I do hope that you are going to go out for run after reading this evelings, if you are then I wish you the best of luck and if you aren't then I think you need a little bit more motivation!

Happy Independence Day!

Now I am not American, but I love an excuse for a celebration so that is the plan! Instead of boring you with a history lesson, I have a fun (and extremely yum!) s'more recipe for you to try. For those of you who are thinking by golly gosh I have no idea what a s'more then I will tell you: a s'more is a traditional American sweet treat! So on with the making (because no baking is required!)

S'more Recipe
Ingredients
Chocolate digestives
Marshmallows

Equipment
Skewer stick
Candle
Matches

Recipe
Now this is the total makeshift way to make s'mores and I may have slightly cheated, but I suppose it doesn't may
1. Get your skewer and pierce your marshmallow.
2. Light your candle and hold the marshmallow over it until it is squishy.
3. Get 2 digestives and make a sandwich with the marshmallow in the middle... Enjoy!

Au revoir evelings I hope you enjoy your s'mores because I definitely did!

July Must Haves!

The month of July is a very joyful experience for me. Not only am I off to France for a week in the sun (well I think sun is a tiny bit of an exaggeration due to the fact its the north of France!) but it is my birthday! Today, though, I am brushing away any molecule of excitement I have painted onto my brain and replacing it with this: the best buys of July! Maybe it isn't the best idea to do my first blog post (eek!) on this as not everything fits the 'reasonably cheap' category; not only that, but everyone has different styles... oh well hopefully I am managing to please those savvy shoppers out there in some way or another.
Lets get rolling with those items then... (oh there random too.)

Product 1. Pierre Hardy for NARS Blush Palette
Price: £30.00
Now I don't know about the rest of you, but I can safely say that this is one of the most beautiful blushes ever produced. I suppose it is because of the recent 'Gatsby-esque' trend circulating the fashion and beauty world that has made me feel thus way. The palette, once opened, reveals one of two shades, Boys Don't Cry and Rotunde. Boys Don't Cry is the more pinkier shade and definitely suits those with fairer skin, whereas Rotunde is more of a peach colour that suits darker skin. Both work excellently for defining cheekbones, much of what you would expect with any NARS blush or bronzer. Although one thing I will say is that if you were to buy one, I would only get it out the makeup drawer for special occasions as it is quite pricey (£30.00 if you didn't catch the caption) and it may be on special edition. I have not yet managed to find any evidence of this being the case, but as it is a designer for NARS, then I am assuming so. Altogether, this amazing product is great for defining your cheeks for a healthy summer glow but would be ideal for once-in-a-while make up rather than for everyday use. Unless your loaded.

2. Water (Yes, I know.)
WATER is your friend!
Before you decide that this blog is a waste of time (or not.) listen to this important message: WATER is a big deal. An average person needs 5-6 glasses a day to stay hydrated and as a fitness freak I would have to agree. Its also really good for helping lose weight (especially if you are looking for that awesomeness bikini bod this summer). Water isn't just a must have because its healthy, it gives you a great break from any touch of hot weather you might happen to come across someday in the future.

3. The Clear Backpack

Clear Backpacks are CHEAP- this one is £8.33, Ebay.
This is one of my all time favourites! You could call me a cheat as I have sort of put two things together... but look! The result is a beautiful child in the form of a bag! Clear bags are trending big time at the moment as they are do out of the ordinary; they are also really versatile, so they go perfectly with the 'geek style' and also the 'statement' look. It isnt just that, you could see one from two miles away if it were a highlighter colour, which is also amazing! another great thing is that it a backpack which is great for those sort of people who are always on the go. You could also have one for school/college and really make a statement... if youre that daring! All in all these bags are the perfect piece to compliement a varity of styles that will help you stop traffic this summer.

4. Phone 'Charm' plugs.
These are so adorable! Search for earphone plug on ETSY.
Now, I am a real sucker for something cute, so when I am scouring through my fave app 'Wish' (Wish is like a personal shopper; it gives you pics of products and where to but them) and I find these little cuties. Personally I think that these are a revolutionary idea as they give your phone that extra level of cutenss. Not that phones are cute...Umm... They're great for another reason, and it isn't anything to do with cute or pretty e.t.c, no this is efficiency. I can't speak for everyone but when my phone is in my pocket, bits of paper that deterioates over time (You know, because paper does that.) gets all stuck in the socket and it takes an age to get out. Well heres a solution... one of these babies. When my earphone aren't plugged in, I can keep this is it and hey presto, goodbye to sticking a bobbypin in the socjet for two hours!

5. YSL Volupte Lipstick (Look, I had to say something!)
You can get this anywhere, in Boots £24... or £23
I know many of you will have read a ton of posts about this but I can esure it is definitely worth it, these lipsticks are so good! Now this may be a crime or not, but I don't actually own one, on the grounds I am still using my lipstick up (Estee Lauder Long Lasting Lipstick in Fig) and I can only have one lippy at a time (Also I don't have much money... woo) but I do know someone who has got one and ofcourse I had to try it on! I don't want you to be too disappointed, but... but... IT WAS GORGEOUS! The texture of the lipstick itself was top class and when it was actually on my lips it didn't feel sticky or waxy like many other lipsticks do (even the posh ones.). I have to say I did have hopes for this product anyway but it didn't matter because it fufilled them in everyway possible! I strongly recommend you go out and buy this, or alternatively if you're like someone I know (not looking at me.) find a friend and do anything to try it. I mean pester, beg or even steal it from her (or Him if you have friends like that.). OK, maybe stealing is a bit of an extreme and I honestly don't condone violence at all. Maybe.

Those were my July must haves and I hoped you enjoyed reading or scrolling through them. Hey, I told you they would be random and if you liked that then there is plenty more where that came from... evening evelings!
